| At the feet of the Piatra Craiului mountains, stretching along the uppermost levels of the Bran platform (1200-1300 m), there is one of the highest settlement in the Romanian Carpathians, the village Fundata. The Bran villages - Fundata, Fundatica, Sirnea, Pestera, Magura, Moeciu de Sus, Moeciu de Jos, Predelut, Simon, Poarta - represent the very expression of the rising of the human setting in the Carpathians, for the better use of the rich natural resources offered by the mountainous area. |
